Manuscript letter (2 p.), signed by the Acting Consul of Japan, on letterhead stationery of the Consulate of Japan for California, U.S.A. written on behalf of Charles Wolcott Brooks. Also includes a Wells, Fargo, & Co's Express receipt for a package containing two Oregon Mission Woolen Mills [i.e. Pendleton Woolen Mills] blankets he has sent the same day. The blankets, with Kinsley's initials added to them, have been especially made for him at the direction of Brooks "as a token of Mr. Brooks regard for you."
